KSP Fall 2021 Application
The Kūlia Support Project (KSP) is offering a $2,100 stipend to support Native Hawaiian students who have been financially impacted by the effects of COVID-19. Students should be attending one of the University of Hawai’i Community College (UHCC) campuses during the Fall 2021 term.
The distribution of this stipend will be in two installments: $1,600 at the start of the semester and $500 at the end of the semester. Both of these awards are contingent upon successful completion of Participation Requirements (see below for more information).
Eligibility: Prospective recipients must:

Have been impacted financially by the effects of COVID-19

Be of Hawaiian ancestry

Be enrolled at least part-time (6 credits)

Be attending classes at a UHCC campus:

Hawaiʻi CC–Manono, Pālamanui, Kō Education Center
-
UH Maui College: Certificate or Associate Degree Programs

Hana, Lahaina, Lanaʻi, and Molokai Education Centers
-
Honolulu CC, Kapiʻolani CC, Leeward CC, Windward CC, Waiʻanae Moku
-
Kauaʻi CC

Participation Requirements: Recipients will be required to:

Receive 16 hours of mentoring with an academic coach, peer mentor, or career mentor

Participate in 5-6 hours of KSP approved workshops or site visits

Complete program related forms, surveys, and evaluations

Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
KSP follows the UHCC Financial Aid Policies for GPA and Pace for SAP as described at https://uhcc.hawaii.edu/financial/policies.php
To Apply: Please complete our Fall 2021 KSP Application Form (http://go.hawaii.edu/YhP) by the end of the day on August 22, 2021. On the Application Form, we ask that you upload a copy of your unofficial transcript from STAR to verify your enrollment. Once you complete the application, please check your UH email regularly. Award selection and notification will be made by the end of August 2021.
